Once I have accepted a commission for a model, ill go over all the details with you, to make sure you'r model, will be exactly how you want it. This could be through email, telephone or face to face, however is easier for you. Before the model is dry/baked I will show it to you (via email/ face to face) to make sure you are happy with the result and to check if there are any changes or modifications you would like to make, after all its you'r personal model so I want it to turn out exactly how you want it!
I make my models using air-drying clay, polymer clay or a mixture of both, depending on the model. I coat them with a primer, before hand painting and then finishing them with a suitable varnish. A standard size model takes roughly around a week to complete, once I have all the details needed to start making it. All my models are hand made, hand painted and hand finished by myself, so they are all completely unique and no two are alike!
Prices and size's.......
My price range varies, depending on the size and style of the model being made, and the materials that are used. A standard size model is roughly 6 - 8 inches tall. I will make dolls house size's (1.12 and 1.24 scale) also. The cost of a standard size model is £30 - £40, prices for custom models vary, again depending on size and materials used etc. The price of postage and packaging for a standard size model is usually around £5 - £7 for UK deliveries, I do ship to the U.S.A and p.p is usually around £10 - £15. All postage and packaging prices vary depending on the weight of the model, also for international deliveries, the exchange rate at the time.
